City: São Paulo - Country: Brazil

What's the story behind your street art name?
In Brazil the urban art scene is very much alive in the cities, especially with pixação and tags. Initially I started in the urban art making tags, after migrating to pixação, passing the bombers, graffiti, stencil, stickers and posters. Initially just started signing my last name RERIBS in order to maintain my anonymity as an artist and soon after took the full name Wolfgang Von Reribs, although it still has anonymity as present in my works, I think the focus should be in the arts, not the artist.

How is the sticker scene in your city or country?
When I started paste stickers, the scene of sticker art was very strong in my town were more than 150 active artists on the scene, only in my state. With time the scene was slowing coming to have less than 15 artists active between 2010 and 2011. In this period I continued doing my solo work on only a collective, when met in 2011 participated in the exposition Cola Here # 03 which together with the creators formed a collective and begin to encourage sticker art, making expos and artists' meetings. Today the scene is coming to be large and active again, the country have about 90 or more artists active in the stickers and that number has only grown recently.

How you make your artworks, using what kind of technique?
Currently used the silk screen techniques and stencil, and fingerprints for make posters.

How did you play with your stickers on the streets, did you quite often make a collaboration?
I produce all my jobs alone, although count on interactive collaboration of other individual artists and appreciators of my work to the paste, I usually stick them and in the company of other artists. Since 2012 I created the habit of going out to paste at least once every month. And currently this number ranges from weekends.

What's the most important, quantity or quality?
The two are connected and complement, I like to let my job spread over a larger number of places. For me the most important is the process itself and not the end result.

Can you share us your opinion about sticker art?
The sticker art is a type of street art that I see growing more recently, because it integrates various kinds of arts and materials, prints, photographs, drawings freehand, digital arts, stencil, tags, graffiti, etc. There are all kinds of possibilities within the sticker art and for being easy and fast application, many artists come migrating to it. The growth of this sport makes me very pleased!
