Kami berkelana lagi ke negeri
Pangeran William untuk mewawancarai seseorang. Siapakah gerangan dirinya? Dia
adalah Thisone. Seorang anggota GCAK (yang entahlah apa kepanjangannya) dari
London, ibukota Inggris. Ia mencoba menceritakan skena stiker di kotanya secara
sepintas. Bagaimanakah sepak terjangnya? Simak!
I'm This One part of GCAK based in London.
I've had many names over the years, all really bad ones. I didn't really have a name one year because it kept changing it every other week. Basically was just playing with letters finding what I liked. The lads I painted with just started calling me Thisone because no one knew what name I would be using that day, and it stuck.

It’s definitely not what it used to be. A lot of the
people that got big from it have moved on to bigger things. There still there and
more every day but there nowhere near as much hand drawn as say 5 years ago.
There's a lot more screen printed and vinyl stickers around because it’s so
easy to get them in London.
My style has changed from being a writer to now artist. I
only use black and white no colour and my style is more influenced by tattoo
art. Don't get me wrong I love graff but just got bored of using letters. I've
used stickers from day one. Sat in my room for hours drawing out piece on
anything from bluetop's, DHL's to just A4 sheets and cutting them out, but
these days i usually just use eggshell's, Hello My Name is and vinyl. I've just
got lazy.
I haven't collaborated on a sticker in ages. The offer just hasn’t come around. I colab a lot when out painting. My main partner in crime is Frankie Strand. She’s got a dope style and we bounce of each over quite well. We recently had an joint exhibition together at Parlour skate store "The Nature Of It" were we paint a load of skateboards. Generally I use stickers as a repetitive image. Get a hello sticker on every lamp post and people will start to notice, just like a tag. The bonus with stickers is you can drop them in places you normally wouldn't be able to get just because it only takes a second. Most areas of London it will stay up till nature takes hold. The buff squad are on it in some areas. That's where egg shells come in.

If your works crap no matter how many you put up its
still crap. In saying that some artist are huge and only because there
everywhere but they took risks to gain respect. As I've basically just reverted
back to only doing tags unless printed I say quantity. Putting one great
sticker up that nobody will see is pointless.
Sticker arts great. From just tags to full on designs. It’s
quick its easy and it usually lasts longer. There's some great artist that have
come from it or use it like Obit, Filth and Grime, Hesher Park and Above. So no
way is it a bad thing and I'm sure it will keep going.
Thank you very much Thisone. Cerita
singkatnya telah mengantar kita tentang pergerakan stikernya secara individu
maupun kolektif bersama teman-temannya di London. Suatu saat kita berjumpa lagi
kawan. Salam tempel!
