Preview Pameran: Sticker Fest Malmo 2016.

Kami terbang ke negeri Swedia. Sebuah negara di Skandinavia yang sama sekali jauh dari radar kami untuk skena dunia gambar tempel. Untung saja, salah satu agen kami yaitu Jens Regler alias Regelverk, bersedia membagikan kisahnya kepada kami sekaligus mempromosikan acara Sticker Fest yang diprakarsainya. Festival stiker ini akan digelar pada Juli mendatang di kota Malmo. Simak!

How was the atmosphere of the sticker culture in your country?

The sticker scene in Sweden and in Malmö is on the Rise, starting to grow. With help from social media like Instagram the culture is spreading and networks are forming both national and international. In Malmö you can find work from all over the world right now but in certain areas only.

Are you planning to receive  any feedback from the visitors after see the exhibition later?

On Sticker Fest we plan to have an open wall for visitors to put stickers and we will have workshop, a table with eggshells and pens and sticker artists live drawing. Interacting with the audience will form a natural channel for communication like feedback. Sticker Fest will be held at the opening of a new cultural venue here in Malmö so there will be live music, graffiti painting, DJ´s and food so not only sticker addicts will come. This will help to spread sticker culture to people whom maybe doesn´t know of it today.

How about your personal opinion about the sticker exhibition?

When I realized that there hadn´t been a sticker show neither in Sweden, Denmark, Norway or Finland I saw a chance to do something really good for the sticker scene here in Scandinavia. Curating a show here in Malmö would be an opportunity for me to spread my own work as well as my fellow tigers all over the world. My personal network has grown rapidly during this process with all the work I have put in and I have had a really great time so far.

Can you share for a lil bit about what's the idea behind the exhibition?

I intend to make a beautiful and creative exhibit of stickers an paste ups where the visitors can participate to some extent. My goal is to make this the first of a series of Sticker Fests. An annual event growing every year. For me the documentation will be central. It is important that the artists sending in their work feels that is hat been worthwhile and that we appreciate their contributions.
